Our services

We’ re going to run several different classes such as drama, music and more. The idea is to get young people to step into their abilities and pursue positive ventures, rather than being influenced by negativity such as gang activity. La Juliette wants to provide a platform for young people so that they are able to showcase their talent to a large audience – and possible have a career in the field they choose to pursue. Cooking classes will be one example of many methods La Juliette plans on using to provide self-development opportunities for young people, and these classes will also allow young people to learn about different cultures, as well as keep these cultures alive.

Education

There are places in the world where children are unable to go to school, restrictions come in different forms e.g, tuition fees, transportation issues, being unable to pay for utilities such as books and more. La Juliette Youth Organisation aims to break down this barrier and provide equal opportunities in the education sector through funding.

Competitions

La Juliette Youth Organisation plans on facilitating engagement between schools via dance competitions, talent shows and more. The idea is to get youth excited about positive things and getting schools to work together to provide these opportunities for young people.

Opportunities

La Juliette Youth Organisation will provide career opportunities with the help of industry connections, so that young people have a chance to use their talent to provide a better life for themselves and their family.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Drama and singing classes, Financial education for underprivileged in poor countries, providing trips for schools, providing opportunities within music and acting, cooking classes for school children and hosting dance competitions.

Organisation

Juliana Forbes: CEO of La Juliette Youth Organisation. I envision using my project to help the younger generation and allow them to explore their talents and much more. It was always my dream to help young people; I did not have the easiest life, which is part of why I would like to make life easier for others.

I know what it is like to struggle. I know what it is like to have talent but have nobody to show it to – or anybody to help you progress. I know what it is like to be a young person with dreams and watch them fade away.

I do not want this to be the case for the younger generations. I want to be that difference. La Juliette plans to help young people with their dreams and aspirations. The topic of talent is not the only area of concern for La Juliette Youth Organisation. Education is also a focus.

Safeguarding Policy

LJYO will not tolerate the abuse of adults in any of its forms and is committed to safeguarding adults with care and support needs from harm. This policy outlines the steps LJYO will make to safeguard an adult with care and support needs if they are deemed to be at risk or at risk. This policy sets out the roles and responsibilities of LJYO in working together with other professionals and agencies in promoting the adult’s welfare and safeguarding them from abuse and neglect.

Equality Policy

LJYO is committed to equality in its provision of services and in all its employment practices, policies and procedures. This includes recruitment, training, remuneration and promotion and equal terms and conditions of employment. It is committed to the creation of a non-discriminatory working environment. This policy applies to employees whether part-time, full-time, fixed term or temporary, contractors, volunteers and trustees.

This Policy sets out the obligations of Foundation LJYO (“the Company”) regarding data protection and the rights of customers and business contacts (“data subjects”) in respect of their personal data under Data Protection Act 2018 (Formally EU Regulation 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
